No matter who you are or where you are, there are passions that are raring to go out and this summer is the perfect time to unleash your enthusiasm and do what you love most. 

This is also the inspiration of this year's ABS-CBN Summer Station ID—actualizing your potentials, displaying your talent as an individual or as a group, community or nation under the summer sun. 

The music video captures how ABS-CBN and its stars are inspired by Filipinos who strive to be the best that they can be. 

ABS-CBN believes that despite the post global recession and other challenges that our country has faced, the resilience of our people will never falter. With a renewed sense of optimism, our nation will continue to pursue excellence in any endeavor.

The song "Bida Best sa Tag-Araw" is performed by Star Power grand winner Angeline Quinto and Vincent Bueno. It was written by Love Rose De Leon and Niño Anglo, rap part written and performed by J.O.L.O. aka J-Dot with music arranged and produced by Marcus Davis, the producer of the memorable One Team, One Summer 2007 Summer SID theme and the award-winning Star ng Pasko from 2009 Christmas SID.

The 2011 Summer SID was jointly created by ABS-CBN's Marketing team headed by Cookie Bartolome and Zita Aragon and ABS-CBN's Creative Communications Management headed by Robert Labayen, Johnny de los Santos, Ira Zabat, and Patrick De Leon.

The First Monkey

Long ago, in a forest, lived a young girl who served as an apprentice of the goddess of weaving. She was cared for and well-provided for by her supernatural benefactor.

One day, the goddess instructed her to prepare a dress by cleaning some cotton, beating it, spinning it, weaving it into cloth, cutting it, and finally sewing it.

Unfortunately, the young girl was quite lazy and found the dress-making process too tedious. So she took the leather cloth (used to beat the cotton on), a wore it thinking it would make a much longer-lasting dress.

Filipino Soups

Batchoy - a soup made with a variety of pork meats; some use pork kidneys, spleen, innards and liver, topped with crushed chicharon and sliced boiled egg. In the Visayas region, batchoy is flavored with guinamos (fish paste), while Ilocanos use gamet (Ilocanos’ nori).

Binakol - an Ilonggo soup made with chicken, ginger, coconut meat and flavored with lemongrass simmered in coconut water. According to locals, it is better cooked in coconut shells or a bamboo container.

Bulalo - a very flavorful soup made with beef kneecap and cartilage boiled for hours. According to bulalo addicts, they love eating this soup and tapping the bones to get the marrow.
